If Bishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa can today pray freely in Jerusalem, it is thanks to the fact that Israel controls the city.

He should learn more about the freedom of religious practice in all countries where Islam is the state religion, that is, in all Arab-Muslim states! He would easily see that this freedom is null!

It is true that he cares very little about the way his Christian Brothers are treated in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon or elsewhere ... At the moment when the Pope is so concerned about the fate of Rohingya (Muslims) and so few Eastern Christians!

We are far from the thought of John XXIII or John Paul II.

And, let us remind all those who criticize the presence of Israel in Jerusalem that the freedom of worship in Jerusalem, and for all religions without exception, is assured in this city only since 1967.

Never before have the Roman, Greek, Christian or Moslem occupants either known or wanted to ensure freedom of worship on this earth and in Jerusalem in particular.

We can only regret that President Macron did not think of reminding King Abdullah, during his visit, that the sad time when the Jews could not go to their holy places is over! That, as Donald Trump so rightly proclaimed, never, never again, the Jews will accept to be deprived of access to the Wall of the Temple that the Jordanian occupiers had ignominiously transformed into a latrine!

No, Monseigneur Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Jews will never again be subject to the contempt of anyone and remember that you are in a free and democratic country where you can say all these insanities without being worried.

Monseigneur Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the words you utter are unworthy of a man of the Church and unworthy of the sacred ground you are walking.

Your words to Vice President Mike Pence show how freedom of access to the holy places would be threatened if, unfortunately, Israel no longer ensured their free access.

Monseigneur Pierbattista Pizzaballa, your remarks spoil the spirit of God who reigns on this earth.

Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa said traditional Christian churches would find it difficult for Mike Pence to officially visit Jerusalem's holy sites in January

The highest Catholic cleric in Jerusalem on Wednesday accused Donald Trump of undermining the Christmas spirit by recognizing the city as the capital of Israel, and leading hundreds of Christians to cancel their visit.

Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa, apostolic administrator of the Latin Patriarchate, also said that the traditional Christian churches would find a possible official request by US Vice President Mike Pence to visit the holy sites of Jerusalem when he came in January. .

He advised Mr. Pence to "listen more" to the other communities than the Christian evangelists of which he is a part, who are said to have strongly influenced the decision of the American president.

Trump's December 6 announcement of his decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, "created tension around Jerusalem and diverted attention from Christmas," at a time of year when many pilgrims traditionally go to the Holy City, said Bishop Pizzaballa to the press.

It also caused tension in Bethlehem, another hotbed of Christianity in the West Bank, "it scared a lot of people, and we had fewer people than expected," he said.

The Archbishop spoke of "dozens of cancellations" of group travel, representing hundreds of people.

The Church, however, has kept all the holidays planned, to "express (its) determination to continue the celebrations," he said.

Trump's statement, breaking with decades of American and international diplomacy on the status of Jerusalem, is one of the most thorny issues of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Bishop Pizzaballa, the highest Roman Catholic dignitary in the Middle East, reiterated the opposition of the Church to any "unilateral" initiative that changes the status quo governing relations between religious communities in Jerusalem.

Mr. Pence was initially expected this week in Jerusalem. The fate of Christians in the Middle East was initially at the heart of its displacement but this message was gradually relegated to the background, to the point that it was not to meet any representative of the traditional Christian Churches.

The White House announced Monday the postponement of this visit in mid-January to, she said, allow Mr. Pence to be present for a crucial vote in the Senate.

Bishop Pizzaballa said that American officials had not asked that Mr. Pence visit the holy places in Jerusalem, like the Holy Sepulcher. If they did it in January, "it would be a problem for us".

As a pilgrim, "we can not say no to anyone, even to the greatest sinner in the world, but if it is a request for an official visit," we can not neglect the consequences or the political aspects " he added without specifying his point.

"I suggest to him to listen more to others, no one has a monopoly on Jesus, not even the evangelists," he said.

The so-called Catholic dignitaries are not religious, but politicians.
The Catholic religion was created at the time of the fall of the Roman Empire.
This religion, by its doctrine, is a manipulation of the brains.
Officials have the status of politicians (the legate is in fact an ambassador with the same rights as those of countries).
So stop moaning, saying that Trump's announcement spoiled the Christmas festivities.
Knowing that the conquest of the Christian world, was made with the sword and his lot of dead in the massacres.
