Last April, Sarah Halimi, a 65-year-old Jewish woman, was found dead, defenseless from her apartment. The case did not make much noise because of the election campaigns, but it aroused the anger of the Jewish community. Indeed, the Muslim neighbor of the victim was indicted for "intentional homicide", but the antisemitic qualification was not retained. Witnesses, however, claimed to have heard the murderer shout "Allahu Akbar" while he was torturing Sarah Halimi. For Gilles-William Goldnadel, this is indeed an anti-Semitic crime, and once again justice understates the facts.
